- - A new and simplified scoring tool, called the LUTS visual score (LUTS-V), was developed to assess lower urinary tract symptoms in men by modifying the existing visual prostate symptom score.
- - The LUTS-V was validated against the International Prostatic Symptom Score using a study of 306 men, showing a strong correlation (r=0.72) and good agreement between the two assessment methods, indicated by a low bias of 5.6%.
- - With an area under the ROC curve of 83%, LUTS-V proved to be effective in identifying moderate to severe urinary symptoms, suggesting it could be a valuable tool for diagnosis and monitoring in clinical settings.
