Design: Infertile patients who were candidates for ART cycles were divided into three groups (n = 30 in each group), including group 1: PCOS patients only receiving folic acid, group 2: PCOS patients receiving daily Myo-Inositol combined with folic acid, and a control group (group 3): normal ovulatory women without PCOS receiving only folic acid from 1 month prior to IVF cycle until the day of ovum pick up. During the ART procedure, oocytes maturation, fertilization rate, and embryo quality were assessed.
Aim This study aimed to develop a predictive model to predict patients' mortality with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from the basic medical data on the first day of admission. Methods The medical data including the demographic, clinical, and laboratory features on the first day of admission of clinically diagnosed COVID-19 patients were documented. The outcome of patients was also recorded as discharge or death.

Prediction of response in advance can result in improved patient selection for ventricular shunting. This study aims to develop a machine learning predictive model for treatment response after shunt placement using the clinical and radiomics features.

This study aimed to systematically review the evidence provided by randomized controlled trials (RCTs) regarding the effect of zinc supplementation on serum adipokines levels.
Methods: PubMed, Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Scopus were systematically searched up to June 2019.
Background: The aim of this study was to identify gastrointestinal (GI) and liver injury presentations in children admitted with COVID-19 infection.
Methods: In this retrospective study, we studied all children with suspected symptoms of COVID-19, referred to Amirkola Children's Hospital. Clinical manifestations of the digestive and respiratory systems and liver function tests were evaluated for all cases.
The present study sought to investigate the effect of micronized resveratrol supplementation on serum levels of asymmetric de-methyl-arginine (ADMA) and paraoxonase-1 (PON1) activity in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). In this double-blinded randomized trial, 76 patients with T2D were recruited. Participants were randomly assigned to consume 1,000 mg resveratrol or placebo capsules (methylcellulose) per day, for 8 weeks.

A total of 71 overweight patients with T2DM (body mass index ranged 25-30) were randomly assigned to receive 1000 mg/day trans-resveratrol or placebo (methyl cellulose) for 8 weeks. Anthropometric indices and biochemical indices including lipid and glycemic profile were measured before and after the intervention.

One of the major complications in these patients is cardiovascular disease; it seems that the cell proliferation inhibition can improve vascular function in these patients. It is proposed that peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα) can induce cell cycle arrest via cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A (p16) activation.

Methods: Fifty infertile PCOS patients were randomly designated in two groups. In the study group, patients received daily doses of 4 g myo-Inositol combined with 400 mg folic acid and in the control group patients received only 400 mg folic acid from 1 month before starting the antagonist cycle until the day of ovum pick up.
Aim: Metabolic syndrome (MSx) is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes mellitus. This study evaluated the prevalence of MSx in adult population in Shiraz, southern Iran.
Methods: In a cross-sectional study conducted between October 2012 and April 2013, using a simple random sampling method, 377 adults aged more than 20 years who were invited for periodic health examinations to Petroleum Industry Health Organization Polyclinic, a general health care center, Shiraz, southern Iran, were studied.
Background: Many researchers believe that adolescents' problem behaviors are indicators of a deficiency in social skills. This study was aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a prevention program on reducing problem behaviors in male adolescents.
Materials And Methods: In a preposttest design with randomized control group, 49 students received social skills training (SST).
In this study, the effects of 5-HT4 receptors of the CA1 on MK801-induced amnesia and hyperlocomotion were examined. One-trial step-down method was used to assess memory retention and then, the hole-board method to assess exploratory behaviors. The results showed that post-training intra-CA1 administration of RS67333 (62.

Materials And Methods: 30 recently extracted intact caries and filling free human permanent molars were used for this study. Then, Cold cure acrylic resin was used to seal the apices.
Background: We designed a study to evaluate the effectiveness of continuous low dose infusion of remifentanil adding to self-administration of entonox administered for pain relief during the active phase of first stage of labor.
Materials And Methods: Thirty healthy term pregnant women recruited in our randomized double-blind, cross over study. They received the study medicines during two 30-min periods with a 15-min wash-out sequence after each period.
Introduction: Heart disease is one of the most common reasons of death in beta-thalassemia major. A few studies have been done in children about blood pressure changes. The aim of this study was to assess hemodynamic changes by ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM).

The plasmodiophoromycete Polymyxa betae and P. graminis are eukaryotic biotrophic parasites residing in the roots of chenopodiacae and gramineae plants. They are natural transmitting agents of several important plant viruses such as are beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYW), beet soil borne mosaic virus (BSBMV), wheat soil-borne mosaic virus (WSBMV).

Methods: A multi-staged approach was employed. The cross-cultural adaptation was performed according to the internationally recommended methodology, using the following guidelines: translation, back-translation, revision by a committee, and pretest.
Introduction: Tehran, Iran, with a population of approximately seven million people, is at a very high risk for a devastating earthquake. This study aims to estimate the number of units of blood required at the time of such an earthquake.
Methods: To assume the damage of an earthquake in Tehran, the researchers applied the Centre for Earthquake and Environmental Studies of Tehran/Japan International Cooperation Agency (CEST/JICA) fault-activation scenarios, and accordingly estimated the injury-to-death ratio (IDR), hospital admission rate (HAR), and blood transfusion rate (BTR).
Objective: Although the classical Cox-Maze III is the gold standard surgical therapy with a proven efficacy in the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF), complexity of this procedure has resulted in a search for a simpler, less invasive and more cost-effective method. In this study we evaluated the results of cryosurgical ablation in the treatment of chronic AF in patients undergoing concomitant mitral valve surgery.
Methods: Ninety patients (mean age: 50.

Objectives: The present study was aimed to identify the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative predictors of AF in a pure cohort of the patients with coronary artery disease who underwent CABG surgery.
Methods: Between November 2005 and May 2006, 302 consecutive patients were included in this prospective study. All the relevant clinical, electrocardiographic, echocardiographic, and laboratory data were gathered in the included patients and they were also monitored for development of post-CABG AF.
Eighty layer hens were assigned in a completely randomized design to four dietary treatments containing zinc sulphate or organic zinc as Albino-Zn in two levels of 25 or 50 ppm. Feed intake was expressed on a per hen basis. Daily egg collection was expressed on a hen-day basis.

Diffuse or unresectable subaortic stenosis is difficult to treat and needs aggressive resection to effectively relieve the obstruction. Anterior aortoventriculoplasty, known as the Konno-Rastan procedure, has been shown to effectively tackle the problems encountered in diffuse subaortic stenosis. A retrospective study was carried out on patients who had undergone a Konno-Rastan procedure at our institution from March 1997 to November 2003.

Hundred and seventeen third molars with no apparent occlusal cavitation were selected. Six examiners inspected all specimens independently, using the CRM, and a subgroup of 4 using the ECM.
