This paper proposes a multi-objective queuing charging strategy for electric vehicles (EVs) based on metrics of public interest. It combines common charging modes, such as random charging mode, tariff-guided mode and stop-and-charge mode. It introduces the problem of queuing charging for EVs by considering the realistic imbalances of vehicle-pile ratios in these common modes.

Purpose: This study was conducted in order to examine the usefulness of osteoconductive bone substitutes with zeta potential control (geneX® ds; Biocomposites, England) by comparing the complications and radiographic evaluation with or without geneX® ds augmentation for internal fixation with proximal femur nail antirotation (PFNA) for treatment of osteoporotic unstable intertrochanteric fractures.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective study of 101 patients who underwent fixation with PFNA in osteoporotic unstable intertrochanteric fractures was conducted from December 2015 to August 2020. The radiographic evaluation and complication rates were compared between patients with geneX® ds (Group A: 41 cases) and those without geneX® ds (Group B: 60 cases).

Background: Retained foreign bodies (RFOs) have substantial clinical and financial consequences. In laparoscopic surgery, RFOs can be a cause of needing to convert a minimally invasive surgery (MIS) procedure to an open operation. A coating for surgical models was developed to augment localization of needles using fluorescence appropriate for open and minimally invasive surgeries procedures.

With advances in information technology, "information-assisted instruction" has been gradually introduced to nursing education curricula. Specifically, the integration of an e-book system can effectively enhance nursing students' attention and interest. Most studies on nursing education that incorporated e-books have focused on the advantages of convenience and assistance provided by e-books.

Ultrasound (US) guided medical devices placement is a widely used clinical technology, yet many factors affect the visualization of these devices in the human body. In this research, an ultrasound-activated film was developed that can be coated on the surface of medical devices. The film contains 2 μm silica microshells and poly(methyl 2-cyanoacrylate) (PMCA) adhesive.

Ultrasound imaging is a safe, low-cost, and in situ method for detecting in vivo medical devices. A poly(methyl-2-cyanoacrylate) film containing 2 μm boron-doped, calcined, porous silica microshells was developed as an ultrasound imaging marker for multiple medical devices. A macrophase separation drove the gas-filled porous silica microshells to the top surface of the polymer film by controlled curing of the cyanoacrylate glue and the amount of microshell loading.

In renal cell carcinoma, transglutaminase 2 (TGase 2) crosslinks p53 in autophagosomes, resulting in p53 depletion and the tumor's evasion of apoptosis. Inhibition of TGase 2 stabilizes p53 and induces tumor cells to enter apoptosis. This study explored the mechanism of TGase 2-dependent p53 degradation.

In recent years, mobile device-assisted clinical education has become popular among nursing school students. The introduction of mobile devices saves manpower and reduces errors while enhancing nursing students' professional knowledge and skills. To respond to the demands of various learning strategies and to maintain existing systems of education, the concept of Cloud Learning is gradually being introduced to instructional environments.

This paper presents a highly sensitive oxygen sensor that comprises an optical fiber coated at one end with platinum(II) meso-tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)porphyrin (PtTFPP) and PtTFPP entrapped core-shell silica nanoparticles embedded in an n-octyltriethoxysilane (Octyl-triEOS)/tetraethylorthosilane (TEOS) composite xerogel. The sensitivity of the optical oxygen sensor is quantified in terms of the ratio I(0)/I(100), where I(0) and I(100) represent the detected fluorescence intensities in pure nitrogen and pure oxygen environments, respectively. The experimental results show that the oxygen sensor has a sensitivity (I(0)/I(100)) of 166.
