Objectives: Maternal obesity increases a child's risk of neurodevelopmental impairment. However, little is known about the impact of maternal obesity on fetal brain development.
Methods: We prospectively recruited 20 healthy pregnant women across the range of pre-pregnancy or first-trimester body mass index (BMI) and performed fetal brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of their healthy singleton fetuses.
Objectives: To evaluate if the tackler correctly adhering, or not, to four different instructions of legal front-on one-on-one torso tackles altered the tackler and/or ball carrier peak inertial head kinematics.
Design: Controlled laboratory study.
Methods: Fifteen rugby-code players measured with three-dimensional optoelectronic motion capture performed two tackle instructions from the Australian National Rugby League coaching manual on under (Dominant National Rugby League) and over (Smother National Rugby League) the ball tackles, and two novel variants of these (under, Dominant, Torso Stick; over, Smother, Pop, Lock).

Introduction: While many studies have been published on Ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia in the Emergency Department (ED), there has been no previous study assessing the current state of the literature based in the form of a scoping review.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the current state of the literature on UGRA performed in the ED setting.
Methods: EMBASE, MEDLINE, CINAHL, and Cochrane databases were searched for studies.
Introduction: Prior studies have not examined blood lead levels (BLL) in the preterm population relative to their developmental and behavioral outcomes.
Methods: Neonatal demographic and clinical characteristics and results on scales of intelligence, development, and behavior were compared between children born ≤32 weeks gestation (n=354) with detected lead levels in childhood of ≥5 µg/dL (n=37, 10%) and <5 µg/dL (n=317, 90%).
Results: The 10% rate of BLL ≥5 µg/dL for this cohort was higher than rates previously reported for the general population, and was associated with low SES.

Uptake of cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBTI) as first-line therapy of chronic insomnia has been restricted by a shortage of trained therapists, access barriers, and limited awareness of self-help alternatives. Self-help CBTI has emerged as a practical alternative, offering ready access, convenience, and dissemination and scalability efficiency. Yet, evidence syntheses of limited data have suggested its effectiveness and acceptability may be inferior to face-to-face CBTI and others have questioned its fidelity with CBTI standards.

Methods: Instrumented mouthguard (iMG) data were collected for 250 men and 132 women from 1865 and 807 player-matches, respectively, and synchronised to video-coded match footage. Head peak resultant linear acceleration (PLA), peak resultant angular acceleration (PAA) and peak change in angular velocity (dPAV) were extracted from each head acceleration event (HAE).

Methods: N=301 active-duty soldiers completed online self-report measures in this cross-sectional study.
Results: Honor ideology was higher in soldiers who privately own a firearm compared with those who do not currently own and do not plan to after military separation.
A species' demographic history gives important context to contemporary population genetics and a possible insight into past responses to climate change; with an individual's genome providing a window into the evolutionary history of contemporary populations. Pairwise sequentially Markovian coalescent (PSMC) analysis uses information from a single genome to derive fluctuations in effective population size change over the last ~5 million years. Here, we apply PSMC analysis to two European nightjar () genomes, sampled in Northwest and Southern Europe, with the aim of revealing the demographic history of nightjar in Europe.
