Doxorubicin (DOX)-induced chemobrain has been reported in several studies. Its main culprit is the induction of massive amounts of reactive oxygen species (ROS), hence triggering damage to brain tissues and thus leading to neuroinflammation. Biochanin A (BIO-A) is known to be an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective agent.

Introduction: The coexistence of gallbladder (LSG) and adenomyomatosis (ADM) is extremely uncommon presenting a novel clinical dilemma that has not been previously documented. LSG refers to a anomaly where the gallbladder is situated to the left of the round ligament deviating from its usual position. This anomaly is rare, with reported occurrences ranging between 0.

Optimal treatment strategies for metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) are evolving with novel multimodal approaches. For well-selected patients, early local radiotherapy can play a pivotal role in high-volume mHSPC. Radiotherapy controls local disease, reduces symptoms, and may potentially delay castration resistance, warranting its consideration alongside systemic therapies in high-volume mHSPC.

Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) stresses the importance of worldwide vaccine coverage of coronavirus-19 (COVID-19) vaccination. This study fills a critical gap in the literature by providing empirical evidence on the factors influencing COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and inequity in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This study investigated the determinants of psychological antecedents and other factors behind COVID-19 vaccination and their role in vaccine coverage in MENA.

Background: Epidural block may be facilitated by ultrasound (US), particularly in pediatrics. Our goal was to compare pre-procedural US with traditional palpation for epidural block in pediatrics undergoing midabdominal urological procedures.

Methods: A total of 110 patients (1 to 12 years of age) with physical status Class I and II were enrolled in this study.

  • Healthcare workers in Egypt are dealing with the monkeypox outbreak and need to be safe, so they were surveyed about getting vaccines.
  • The study showed that many healthcare workers have mixed feelings: some are confident about vaccines, while others are not too worried or face challenges.
  • People with higher incomes and good information about monkeypox are more likely to feel confident about getting vaccinated.

Background: The rise of antimicrobial resistance, which is partially attributed to the overuse and/or misuse of antibiotics in health care, is one of the world's largest public health challenges. The distribution of antibiotics in absence of a prescription in pharmacies is a significant contributor to the growing global public health crisis of antibiotic resistance. A pharmacist's clinical and lawful knowledge of antibiotic provide has an impact on the proper way to dispense medication.

  • Xanthomas are skin swellings caused by cholesterol and lipid accumulation, often linked to genetic lipid disorders like familial hypercholesterolemia (FH).
  • An 11-year-old girl presented with multiple painless, yellowish masses that had been growing for 4 years, with lab tests confirming high cholesterol levels, leading to a diagnosis of Homozygous FH and subsequent surgical removal of the xanthomas.
  • Early diagnosis and treatment of xanthomas are crucial as they can signal underlying hypercholesterolemia, helping to prevent severe complications.

Article Synopsis
  • * This method utilizes first derivative synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy, measuring the drugs in methanol at specific wavelengths, and shows a reliable range of concentrations for both drugs.
  • * The technique was validated with high recovery rates in lab-prepared mixtures and commercial formulations, and its eco-friendliness was confirmed using greenness assessment tools.

A sensitive, rapid and green synchronous spectrofluorimetric method was developed to simultaneously analyze a binary mixture of diosmin (DSM) and hesperidin (HSP). The RSFI of both medications was measured in methanol at Δ of 100 nm. The results indicated that specific experimental factors had an impact on these intensities.

Few prior works study self-driving cars by deep learning with IoT collaboration. SDC-Net, which is an end-to-end multitask self-driving car camera cocoon IoT-based system, is one of the research areas that tackles this direction. However, by design, SDC-Net is not able to identify the accident locations; it only classifies whether a scene is a crash scene or not.

Background: The identification of objective pain biomarkers can contribute to an improved understanding of pain, as well as its prognosis and better management. Hence, it has the potential to improve the quality of life of patients with cancer. Artificial intelligence can aid in the extraction of objective pain biomarkers for patients with cancer with bone metastases (BMs).

Unlabelled: () is an obligate intracellular apicomplexan protozoan that causes toxoplasmosis. Approximately one-third of the world's population is currently -seropositive. Although most infections are symptomless, a few can produce retinal lesions and, in immunocompromised persons or when congenitally contracted, can progress to life-threatening central nervous system disseminated infections.

The coronavirus-2 has led to a global pandemic of COVID-19 with an outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome leading to worldwide quarantine measures and a rise in death rates. The objective of this study is to propose a green, sensitive, and selective densitometric method to simultaneously quantify remdesivir (REM) in the presence of the co-administered drug linezolid (LNZ) and rivaroxaban (RIV) in spiked human plasma. TLC silica gel aluminum plates 60 F254 were used as the stationary phase, and the mobile phase was composed of dichloromethane (DCM): acetone (8.

This paper presents a comprehensive exploration of a hybrid energy system that integrates wind turbines with photovoltaics (PVs) to address the intermittent nature of electricity production from these sources. The necessity for such technology arises from the sporadic nature of electricity generated by PV cells and wind turbines. The envisioned outcome is an emissions-free, more efficient alternative to traditional energy sources.

Antidepressants can cause sexual dysfunction side effects, necessitating the co-administration of phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. The simultaneous determination of these drugs in biological fluids is critical for therapeutic drug monitoring. For the first time, two binary mixtures containing duloxetine with either avanafil or tadalafil were estimated utilizing simple green spectrofluorimetric methods without the need for a previous separation step.

Background: The optimal treatment approach for patients with active venous leg ulcers (VLUs) and post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) associated with great saphenous vein (GSV) reflux remains unclear. To address this gap, we retrospectively compared the outcomes of patients with post-thrombotic VLU with an intact GSV vs those with a stripped or ablated GSV.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed data from 48 patients with active VLUs and documented PTS, who were treated at a single center between January 2018 and December 2022.

In the last few decades, green analytical chemistry (GAC) has become a smart magical solution for the qualification and quantification of many drugs. In the current study, a direct, sensitive, and green RP-HPLC method was used to separate three anti-histaminic combinations rupatadine/montelukast, desloratadine/montelukast, fexofenadine/montelukast, and finally a mixture of rupatadine and its metabolite; desloratadine in less than 20 min. The developed method was optimized by a 2 full factorial design to improve the chromatographic responses.

Three green and facile spectrophotometric methods were developed for the assay of Petro components; drotaverine HCl (DRT), caffeine (CAFF), and paracetamol (PAR). The three methods depend on measuring the absorbance of the studied drugs through their ethanolic solution. The first derivative spectrophotometry (FDS) at (Δλ = 10) were good parameters for DRT and CAFF resolution; DRT and CAFF could be well calibrated using FDS at 320 and 285 nm, respectively.
