Precision Measurement of CP Violation in the Penguin-Mediated Decay B_{s}^{0}→ϕϕ.

A flavor-tagged time-dependent angular analysis of the decay B_{s}^{0}→ϕϕ is performed using pp collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at the center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6  fb^{-1}. The CP-violating phase and direct CP-violation parameter are measured to be ϕ_{s}^{ss[over ¯]s}=-0.042±0.

Observation of New Baryons in the Ξ_{b}^{-}π^{+}π^{-} and Ξ_{b}^{0}π^{+}π^{-} Systems.

The first observation and study of two new baryonic structures in the final state Ξ_{b}^{0}π^{+}π^{-} and the confirmation of the Ξ_{b}(6100)^{-} state in the Ξ_{b}^{-}π^{+}π^{-} decay mode are reported using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}. In addition, the properties of the known Ξ_{b}^{*0}, Ξ_{b}^{'-} and Ξ_{b}^{*-} resonances are measured with improved precision. The new decay mode of the Ξ_{b}^{0} baryon to the Ξ_{c}^{+} π^{-} π^{+} π^{-} final state is observed and exploited for the first time in these measurements.

Substance Misuse in Elite Athletes: Early Detection, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment.

Sports medicine physicians and athletic trainers regularly encounter athletes who misuse substances that put them at risk for adverse health, social, interpersonal, academic, psychological, and performance effects. The three most encountered substances are alcohol (binge drinking), cannabis (marijuana), and tobacco/nicotine vaping. Early detection using self-report screening instruments, adverse consequences questionnaires, and urine testing are reviewed.

Tumors are intrinsically heterogeneous and it is well established that this directs their evolution, hinders their classification and frustrates therapy. ISCEV standard pattern reversal VEP development: paediatric reference limits from 649 healthy subjects.

Purpose: To establish the extent of agreement for ISCEV standard reference pattern reversal VEPs (prVEPs) acquired at three European centres, to determine any effect of sex, and to establish reference intervals from birth to adolescence.

Methods: PrVEPs were recorded from healthy reference infants and children, aged 2 weeks to 16 years, from three centres using closely matched but non-identical protocols. Amplitudes and peak times were modelled with orthogonal quadratic and sigmoidal curves, respectively, and two-sided limits, 2.

Genome instability footprint under rapamycin and hydroxyurea treatments.

The mutational processes dictating the accumulation of mutations in genomes are shaped by genetic background, environment and their interactions. Accurate quantification of mutation rates and spectra under drugs has important implications in disease treatment. Here, we used whole-genome sequencing and time-resolved growth phenotyping of yeast mutation accumulation lines to give a detailed view of the mutagenic effects of rapamycin and hydroxyurea on the genome and cell growth.

Green-blue space exposure changes and impact on individual-level well-being and mental health: a population-wide dynamic longitudinal panel study with linked survey data.

Lumbosacral lipoma in childhood, how strong is the evidence base? A systematic review.

Objective: Conus region lumbosacral lipomas (LSLs) are highly heterogeneous in their morphology, clinical presentation, and outcome, with an incompletely understood natural history and often treacherous surgical anatomy. This systematic review aims to critically evaluate and assess the strength of the current LSL evidence base to guide management strategies.

Methods: According to a systematic review following PRISMA guidelines, a search was conducted using the key term "lumbosacral lipoma" across MEDLINE (OVID), Embase, Cochrane Library, and PubMed databases from January 1951 to April 2021.

Galantamine ameliorates experimental pancreatitis.

Background: Acute pancreatitis is a common and serious inflammatory condition currently lacking disease modifying therapy. The cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway (CAP) is a potent protective anti-inflammatory response activated by vagus nerve-dependent α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (α7nAChR) signaling using splenic CD4 T cells as an intermediate. Activating the CAP ameliorates experimental acute pancreatitis.

Patient experiences of the Long COVID-Optimal Health Programme: a qualitative interview study in community settings.

Background: Long COVID (LC) symptoms persist 12 weeks or more beyond the acute infection. To date, no standardised diagnostic or treatment pathways exist. However, a holistic approach has been recommended.

The branching fraction of the rare decay Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ(1520)μ^{+}μ^{-} is measured for the first time, in the squared dimuon mass intervals q^{2}, excluding the J/ψ and ψ(2S) regions. The data sample analyzed was collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}. The result in the highest q^{2} interval, q^{2}>15.

Main Mechanisms of Remote Monitoring Programs for Cardiac Rehabilitation and Secondary Prevention: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW.

Purpose: The objective of this report was to identify the main mechanisms of home-based remote monitoring programs for cardiac rehabilitation (RM CR) and examine how these mechanisms vary by context.

Methods: This was a systematic review using realist synthesis. To be included, articles had to be published in English between 2010 and November 2020 and contain specific data related to mechanisms of effect of programs.

Epidemiology and survival outcomes of colorectal mixed neuroendocrine-non-neuroendocrine neoplasms and neuroendocrine carcinoma.

Background: Mixed neuroendocrine-non-neuroendocrine neoplasms are a rare subtype of neuroendocrine neoplasm consisting of ≥30% each of neuroendocrine and non-neuroendocrine differentiation. Neuroendocrine carcinomas are poorly differentiated neuroendocrine tumors. The epidemiology and prognosis of colorectal mixed neuroendocrine-non-neuroendocrine neoplasms and neuroendocrine carcinomas are not clearly defined in the literature.

Focusing a realist evaluation of peer support for paediatric mental health.

Objective: Mental health problems are a leading and increasing cause of health-related burden in children across the world. Peer support interventions are increasingly used to meet this need using the lived experience of people with a history of mental health problems. However, much of the research underpinning this work has focused on adults, leaving a gap in knowledge about how these complex interventions may work for different children in different circumstances.

Intracardiac migration of distal catheter-a rare complication of VP shunt insertion: case report and literature review.

Intracardiac migration is a rare complication of ventriculoperitoneal shunt insertion. Only 15 cases have been reported, 7 of which were paediatric cases, treated with techniques including interventional radiography, open thoracotomies and direct extraction through the initial shunt incision. The authors report the youngest case of intracardiac shunt migration complicated by significant coiling and knotting within the cardiac chambers and pulmonary vasculature.

Swallowing Function After Epiglottopexy in Children.

Objective: Epiglottopexy has been an increasingly utilized intervention in children with epiglottic prolapse and airway obstruction. Given the role of the epiglottis in protecting the airway during swallowing and the potential effect of repositioning the epiglottis on the passage of the bolus, we aimed to compare swallowing outcomes before and after epiglottopexy in children.

Study Design: A retrospective cohort study.

Evidence of a J/ψK_{S}^{0} Structure in B^{0}→J/ψϕK_{S}^{0} Decays.

An amplitude analysis of B^{0}→J/ψϕK_{S}^{0} decays is performed using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}, collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. Evidence with a significance of 4.0 standard deviations of a structure in the J/ψK_{S}^{0} system, named T_{ψs1}^{θ}(4000)^{0}, is seen, with its mass and width measured to be 3991_{-10}^{+12} _{-17}^{+9}  MeV/c^{2} and 105_{-25}^{+29} _{-23}^{+17}  MeV, respectively, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic.

Observation of New Ω_{c}^{0} States Decaying to the Ξ_{c}^{+}K^{-} Final State.

Two new excited states, Ω_{c}(3185)^{0} and Ω_{c}(3327)^{0}, are observed in the Ξ_{c}^{+}K^{-} invariant-mass spectrum using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}. Five previously observed excited Ω_{c}^{0} states are confirmed, namely Ω_{c}(3000)^{0}, Ω_{c}(3050)^{0}, Ω_{c}(3065)^{0}, Ω_{c}(3090)^{0}, and Ω_{c}(3119)^{0}. The masses and widths of these seven states are measured with the highest precision to date.

The lived experience of long COVID: A qualitative study of mental health, quality of life, and coping.

The majority of people who contract COVID-19 experience a short period of symptomatic infection. However, symptoms persist for months or years following initial exposure to the virus in some cases. This has been described as long COVID.

Myeloid PTP1B deficiency protects against atherosclerosis by improving cholesterol homeostasis through an AMPK-dependent mechanism.

Objective: Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory process induced by the influx and entrapment of excess lipoproteins into the intima media of arteries. Previously, our lab demonstrated that systemic PTP1B inhibition protects against atherosclerosis in preclinical LDLR models. Similarly, it was shown that myeloid-specific PTP1B ablation decreases plaque formation and ameliorates dyslipidaemia in the ApoE model of atherosclerosis.

Swept under the carpet: a qualitative study of patient perspectives on Long COVID, treatments, services, and mental health.

Background: A constellation of often disabling long-term physical symptoms enduring after an acute SARS-COV-2 infection is commonly referred to as Long COVID. Since Long COVID is a new clinical entity, research is required to clarify treatment needs and experiences of individuals affected. This qualitative descriptive study aimed to provide insight into Long COVID treatment and service experiences and preferences of individuals experiencing Long COVID and the intersections with mental health.
