A multifunctional graphene oxide-based nanodrug delivery system for tumor targeted diagnosis and treatment under chemotherapy-photothermal-photodynamic synergy.

Traditional cancer therapies, such as chemotherapy, often lack specificity, resulting in severe toxic side effects and limited therapeutic efficacy. There is an urgent need to develop innovative multifunctional nanomedicine carriers that integrate precise diagnosis, targeted therapy, real-time monitoring, and the synergistic effects of multiple therapeutic approaches. In this study, a composite nanodrug delivery system (GO-HA-Ce6-GNRs) based on graphene oxide (GO) was innovatively prepared, which was functionalized with the targeting molecule hyaluronic acid (HA), the photosensitizer chlorin e6 (Ce6), and the photothermal material gold nanorods (GNRs).

Enzymatically hydrolyzed diet improves growth performance and intestinal microbiome in growing pigs.

Background: The use of enzymes within pig feed can reduce the challenges associated with antibiotic-free animal feeding. However, this enzymatic effect is often limited by the internal and external gut environment. This study aimed to improve diet quality and assess the impact of an enzymatically hydrolyzed diet (EHD) on growth performance, meat quality, and intestinal health in growing pigs.

Early Diagnosis of Bloodstream Infections Using Serum Metabolomic Analysis.

Background: Bloodstream infections (BSIs) pose a great challenge to treating patients, especially those with underlying diseases, such as immunodeficiency diseases. Early diagnosis helps to direct precise empirical antibiotic administration and proper clinical management. This study carried out a serum metabolomic analysis using blood specimens sampled from patients with a suspected infection whose routine culture results were later demonstrated to be positive.

Photochromic Film Based on a Mixed-Heteroatom-Templated Er-Incorporated Polyoxometalate Used for Inkless Prints and Anti-Counterfeiting.

Photochromic films have attracted increasing attention for their potential in information storage and photoswitchable devices. Developing novel photochromic materials is still a highly challenging topic. In this work, we successfully obtained an unprecedented mixed-heteroatom-templated Er-incorporated polyoxometalate [HN(CH)]NaKH{Er(HO)WO[SeTeWO][B-α-TeWO]}·117HO () by concurrently introducing the [TeO] and [SeO] heteroanion templates into the Er/WO system.

Worldwide patterns and trends in ovarian cancer incidence by histological subtype: a population-based analysis from 1988 to 2017.

Background: Ovarian cancer (OC) is a heterogeneous malignancy with multiple histological subtypes, showing global variability in incidence. Temporal changes in diagnostic criteria and risk factors might influence the incidence and distribution of OC and its subtypes.

Methods: This study analyzed incidence patterns (2013-2017) and trends (1988-1992 to 2013-2017) of OC and its subtypes across 65 and 40 countries, respectively.
