Changes in Hepatic Density Due to Oral Amiodarone-induced Liver injury Shown by Computed Tomography.

Amiodarone is an antiarrhythmic drug that is widely used for atrial fibrillation and other refractory arrhythmias. Although beneficial, its long-term administration is associated with adverse effects on various organs. One patient presented with amiodarone-induced liver injury, which led to liver failure.

Successful Management of Upper Gastrointestinal Obstruction With Primary Advanced Ovarian Cancer.

Background/aim: Upper gastrointestinal obstruction is an extremely rare complication of primary ovarian cancer. We present a case of primary advanced ovarian cancer with gastroduodenal obstruction successfully managed with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) and conservative treatment.

Case Report: A 60-year-old woman was referred to our hospital for advanced ovarian cancer with upper gastrointestinal obstruction.

Simultaneous Acquisition of T790M Mutation and SCLC Transformation during Targeted Therapy in EGFR-Mutated Lung Adenocarcinoma: A Rare Case Report.

BACKGROUND Various resistance mechanisms of the epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) have been reported, and approximately half of the cases show a T790M point mutation as resistance to EGFR-TKI. In addition, 3-14% of cases of non-small cell lung cancer transform into small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) during treatment. However, there are few reported cases in which 2 mechanisms of resistance have been observed simultaneously.

Unfavorable response to capmatinib for MET exon14 skipping after first-line osimertinib in a patient with EGFR-mutated lung adenocarcinoma: A case report and literature review.

MET exon14 skipping mutations (METex14s) are rarely reported as a potential resistance mechanism to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). The efficacy of targeted therapy against METex14s emerging after osimertinib resistance is uncertain. Herein, we report a case of EGFR-mutated metastatic lung adenocarcinoma in which METex14 was detected in a re-biopsy upon first-line osimertinib resistance.

Impact of Interventional Bronchoscopy on Long-Term Survival in Patients with Primary Tracheal Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma: A Single-Center Experience.

Introduction: Primary tracheal adenoid cystic carcinoma (TACC) is a rare low-grade lung cancer of bronchial gland origin. Surgery is the first choice of treatment; however, in cases of recurrence or inoperability, a combination of radiation and chemotherapy is administered as a multimodality treatment. Interventional bronchoscopy is also used as a multidisciplinary treatment; however, its impact on long-term prognosis has not been thoroughly investigated.
