Pregnancy-related issues in rare and low-prevalence diseases: results of ERN transversal working group on pregnancy and family planning survey.

Background: Rare and complex diseases can have a significant impact on family life, and managing the reproductive aspects of patients of childbearing age with rare diseases is often difficult and complex. A European Reference Network (ERN) Transversal Working Group (WG) on Pregnancy and Family Planning was created to join forces to promote and address issues on these topics in rare and low-prevalence diseases.

Objective: To outline the challenges and the good practices related to pregnancy and family planning in rare and complex diseases for healthcare professionals (HCPs).

Introduction: Oral health care impacts of unemployment are not well understood. This is particularly important as many people, even in high-income countries, lack publicly funded oral health care, creating a financial burden for working-age individuals. This study aims to investigate the short-term effect of becoming unemployed on affordability of oral health care among working-age Australian adults.

Objectives: Despite the oral health risks associated with e-cigarette use (i.e., vaping) and the importance of cessation, research exploring the experiences and views of oral health practitioners in relation to e-cigarettes and delivering cessation counselling is limited.

Lefitolimod in Combination with Ipilimumab in Patients with Advanced Solid Tumors: A Phase I Trial.

Introduction: TLR9 agonists are immunomodulators that have been of interest for combined use with cancer immunotherapy. TLR9 agonists, such as lefitolimod (MGN1703), significantly increased Th1 response in preclinical models and have demonstrated efficacy in early clinical trials. This trial assessed the safety and preliminary efficacy of the combination of lefitolimod and ipilimumab in patients with advanced solid tumors.
