The appearance of 'web-like mucus' in the stomach is a novel phenomenon associated with vonoprazan (VPZ) usage, characterized by a descriptive mucus pattern resembling a spider web or net. The present study aimed to determine its prevalence and related factors. In this retrospective observational study, the medical records and endoscopic reports of 547 patients who underwent an esophagogastroduodenoscopy were reviewed.

Background: Vascularized lymph node transfer (VLNT) is traditionally performed in patients with advanced-stage lymphedema. To enhance and promote the physiological effects of VLNT, lymphatic system transfer (LYST) was developed. In this technique, lymph nodes and a portion of their corresponding afferent lymphatic vessels are transferred to stimulate lymphangiogenesis.

The depth of invasion plays a critical role in predicting the prognosis of early esophageal cancer, but the reasons behind invasion and the changes occurring in invasive areas are still not well understood. This study aimed to explore the morphological differences between invasive and non-invasive areas in early esophageal cancer specimens that have undergone endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), using artificial intelligence (AI) to shed light on the underlying mechanisms. In this study, data from 75 patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) were analyzed and endoscopic assessments were conducted to determine submucosal (SM) invasion.
