Background: Understanding the development of central venous catheter-related thrombus (CVCRT) is vital for the prevention of adverse events caused by thrombi after cardiac surgery in children. However, the risks associated with CVCRT remain controversial. This study analyzed the risk factors of CVCRT based on a detailed evaluation of its morphometric features and severity.

While the association between GAP43 and human neurological disorders have been reported, the underlying mechanisms remain largely unknown. We performed whole exome sequencing on a patient with intellectual disability (ID), neurodevelopmental disorders, short stature, and skeletal abnormalities such as left-right difference in legs and digital deformities, and identified a heterozygous missense variation in the GAP43 gene [NM_001130064.

However, research on the potential risk factors, particularly in preschool-aged children, remains scarce.
Aims: We aimed to explore the association between small for gestational age (SGA) and other factors and motor coordination problems in 5-6-year-olds from the Hokkaido Study on Environment and Children's Health Cohort.
Background: Although the in silico predictive ability of the Ames test results has recently made remarkable progress, there are still some chemical classes for which the predictive ability is not yet sufficient due to a lack of Ames test data. These classes include simple heterocyclic compounds. This study aimed to investigate the mutagenicity and structure-mutagenicity relationships for some heterocycles in the Ames test.
