Inhibiting phosphofructokinase-1 (PFK1) is a promising approach for treating lactic acidosis and mitochondrial dysfunction by activating oxidative phosphorylation. Tryptolinamide (TLAM) has been shown as a PFK1 inhibitor, but its complex stereochemistry, with 16 possible isomers complicates further development. We conducted an asymmetric synthesis, determined the absolute configurations, and evaluated the PFK1 inhibitory activity of the TLAM isomers.

This study aimed to investigate the frequency and clinical features of ILD in patients with psoriasis and propose a new conceptual framework of "ILD associated with psoriasis".
Methods: A retrospective analysis of 117 patients with psoriasis was conducted, excluding those without chest imaging prior to methotrexate or biologic use and those with other comorbidities leading to ILD.
A 36-year-old woman referred to our hospital for treatment of a mediastinal tumor. Contrast computed tomography (CT) scan was revealed a 31×21×25 mm mass in the anterior mediastinum, with low contrast, clear border, and a tendency to increase. On magnetic resonance imaging( MRI) examination, the anterior mediastinal tumor showed homogeneous high signal intensity on T1-weighted images and a combination of high and low signal intensities on T2-weighted images.

Previous studies using an adult blood pressure cuff have suggested that veins do not easily collapse at the tourniquet pressure from diastolic to systolic blood pressure. When inserting a PICC into the basilic vein of the upper arm, a narrow blood pressure cuff should be used as a tourniquet to avoid concealing the puncture site.
