Stroke is the second leading cause of disability and mortality worldwide, imposing a substantial socioeconomic burden on individuals and healthcare systems. Annually, approximately 14 million people experience stroke, with ischemic stroke comprising nearly 85% of cases, of which 10% to 20% involve large vessel occlusions. Currently, recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) remains the only approved pharmacological intervention.

The ethyl acetate extract of (CGE) exhibits antioxidant and hepatoprotective properties, but its detailed mechanism of action against ALD remains unclear. This study investigates the effects and mechanisms of CGE in alleviating alcohol-induced oxidative stress and liver injury.

1550 nm-responsive upconversion luminescence (UCL) has attracted increasing attention due to its potential applicability in a new generation of bio-probes and photonic devices. However, regulating multi-color UCL with pump power remains a challenge. In this work, through constructing the coupling between Er and Tm ions and suppressing the energy transfer upconversion process of Er ions, the response of UCL color in Gd(MoO):Er/Tm to pump power is enhanced significantly.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the methodological quality, report quality, and evidence quality of a meta-analysis (MA) and systematic review (SR) of the efficacy of acupotomy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA), and provided a reference for clinical decision-making.
Methods: We searched 8 databases to collect systematic reviews and meta-analyses on the efficacy of acupotomy in the treatment of KOA from January 30, 2018, to January 31, 2023. The methodological quality of the studies was assessed using the assessment of multiple systematic reviews (AMSTAR) 2 scale, the quality of the literature reports was scored using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systems Reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020 Version (PRISMA 2020),and the quality of the evidence was graded using the grading of recommendations assessment, development, and evaluation (GRADE) scale.
Developing low-cost self-service portable sensors to detect viruses is an important step in combating the spread of viral outbreaks. Here, we describe the development of an aptamer-free paper-based molecularly imprinted sensor for the instrument-free detection of influenza virus A (H5N1). In this sensor, Whatman paper loaded with FeO nanoparticles (WP@FeO) was prepared as a substrate upon which silicon imprinting occurred in the presence of the template virus H5N1.
