Background: Patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) are susceptible to infections that can affect their clinical outcomes.
Aims: To assess: (1) the incidence of pneumonia in CLL patients treated with venetoclax-based regimens in a real-world setting, (2) the risk factors for event-free survival (EFS), and (3) overall survival (OS).
Methods: This multicenter study included 322 patients from eight centers.
Haematological malignancies and their treatment regimens often lead to various complications that impair patients' physical functioning. This study aimed to assess the level of physical activity and exercise capacity in patients with haematological malignancies who were qualified for haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). A prospective, single-centre study was conducted on patients with haematological malignancies qualified for HSCT (study group, = 103) and a cohort of healthy volunteers (reference group, = 100).

Background: The prognostic value of the comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) is recognized by many in hematology. However, there is no consensus on the utilization of alternative abbreviated methods to assess disabilities in elderly patients with B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (B-NHLs).
Aim: The aim of this study was to prospectively analyze the prognostic value of selected CGA tools in predicting adverse events (AEs) and outcomes of R-CHOP or R-CHOP-like treatment in elderly patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLBCLs) or mantle cell lymphomas (MCLs).

The research conducted in this study aimed to determine whether the production of a layered casting in the material system of X46Cr13 steel (working part) and gray cast iron (base part) can be integrated with the hardening process of this steel within the conditions of the casting mold. Accordingly, a series of layered castings was produced by preparing the mold cavity, where a monolithic steel insert was poured with molten gray cast iron with flake graphite. The variable factors in the casting production process included the pouring temperature T and the thickness of the support part g.
