Lanthanide-mediated Defluorinative Transformations of Trifluoromethylated Benzofulvenes: Access to Functionalized Difluoroalkenes and Mechanistic Insights.

Accessing difluorinated organic molecules via selective C-F bond activation in CF3-containing substrates has become a valuable synthetic pathway. The combination of lanthanide metals (lanthanum, dysprosium) with Lewis acids (AlCl3, LaI3) allows the efficient regio- and stereoselective transformation of CF3-benzofulvenes into a range of versatile difluoroalkenes proceeding via ε,ε-difluoropentadienyl lanthanide or aluminium species. The reaction of these organometallic intermediates towards ketones and nitroalkenes is herein reported and analyzed in relation to previous studies on aldehydes.

Eggshell Derived Nanohydroxyapatite as a Bone Graft for Intrabony Defects was Evaluated Using (CBCT) - A Randomized Controlled Trial.

Aim: The study aims to assess the effectiveness of eggshell-derived nanohydroxyapatite (EnHA) as a bone graft material for treating intrabony defects, using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) for evaluation.

Materials And Methods: Ten patients were divided into two groups: Group 1: individuals with 2-wall defects, Group 2: those with 3-wall defects. Follow-up appointments at 1-, 3-, and 6-month intervals included assessments of clinical attachment level (CAL), probing depth (PD), and gingival recession (GR).

The Missing M Band: Is it Really Non Secretory Multiple Myeloma?

Background: Non-secretory multiple myeloma (NSMM) is defined as clonal bone marrow plasma cells ≥10% or biopsy proven plasmacytoma, evidence of end-organ damage due to underlying plasma cell dyscrasia, namely hypercalcemia, renal insufficiency, anaemia, bone lesions and lack of serum and urinary monoclonal protein on electrophoresis and immunofixation. They represent 3-5% of multiple myeloma (MM). With the advent of serum free light chain (s FLC) measurement, most of NSMMs have been classified as Light chain Multiple myeloma (LCMM).

Exploration of quinoxaline triazoles as antimycobacterial agents: design, synthesis and biological evaluation.

In this work, novel 2-substituted-3-((1-substituted-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl) methoxy) quinoxaline analogues were designed, synthesized, and various analytical techniques, viz., H NMR, C NMR, and Mass spectrometry, were deployed in the structure confirmation of the final compounds. Synthesized derivatives were evaluated for their antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) H37Rv.

Adult pulmonary blastoma.

Pulmonary blastoma, a rare and aggressive primary lung tumour, poses diagnostic challenges due to its vague clinical presentation and rarity. Here, we outline the case of a chronic smoker in his 50s presenting with cough and blood-tinged sputum. Radiological assessment revealed a mass lesion in the left upper lobe.
