Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty as a treatment for snoring.

Uvulopalatopharyngoplaty was performed in 18 consecutive patients (15 men and three women; mean +/- standard deviation [SD] age, 46.3 +/- 7.5 years) who presented for the treatment of heavy habitual snoring.
