We have studied the basic polarization properties of variously shaped lenses for the on-axis beam in the exit pupil and present the data obtained. The Mueller calculus and three-dimensional polarization calculus methods were applied for polarization ray tracing. The calculation methods were compared on different samples.

The ecosystem of the Naroch Lakes (Belarus) includes three water bodies, Lake Batorino, Lake Myastro and Lake Naroch. These lakes have a common catchment area. At the end of the 80 s, the ecosystem of the Naroch Lakes underwent a transformation, during which the nutrient load on the catchment area decreased, and the concentration of phosphorus as a limiting factor in these water bodies decreased significantly.

Article Synopsis
  • Climate change has altered the thermal structure of lakes, impacting both surface and deep water temperatures, though surface changes are more documented than deepwater trends.
  • This study presents a comprehensive dataset of vertical temperature profiles from 153 lakes, starting from as early as 1894, allowing for a deeper analysis of long-term trends.
  • The researchers also collected various geographic and water quality data to understand how different factors influence the thermal structures of these lakes amid ongoing environmental changes.

Introduction: The cercariae of avian blood flukes Trichobilharzia szidati (Digenea, Schistosomatidae) are known to cause cercarial allergic dermatitis ("swimmer's itch") in humans. Global epidemics can have significant impacts on local tourism-related economies in recreational areas. Little is known about the genetic polymorphism of the parasite population, or about the variability of the non-coding regions of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and the possibility of using this as a genetic marker.

This investigation focused on obtaining samples from ceramic composite materials, based on the ZrO₂⁻20%Al₂O₃ system, using the additive layer-by-layer fusion technology for thermoplastic systems. The structure and phase composition of the initial powders were studied, experimental samples were produced, and the structure and properties of the experimental samples that were obtained using additive technologies were analysed. The measured static bending strength of the samples was 450 ± 70 MPa, microhardness was 14 GPa, and the elasticity modulus was 280 ± 25 GPa.
