The series of luminescent NaYF:Sm nano- and microcrystalline materials co-doped by La, Gd, and Lu ions were synthesized by hydrothermal method using rare earth chlorides as the precursors and citric acid as a stabilizing agent. The phase composition of synthesized compounds was studied by PXRD. All synthesized materials except ones with high La content (where LaF is formed) have a β-NaYF crystalline phase.

The reference-center of monitoring of agents of glanders and melioidosis carried out testing of reagents kits for diagnostic of agent of melioidosis and other close-related species of Burkholderiae in vitro. At the stage of specific identification of pathogenic Burkholderiae the diagnostic possibilities of commercial and experimental kits of reagents for express- and rapid analysis were evaluated. The criteria of evaluation of diagnostic value of kits of reagents were sensitivity, specificity and time of implementation of studies.

The article deals with results of study of antigenic chiasms between viruses of Western Nile fever and tick-borne encephalitis using binding immunoassay applied to blood serum from patients residing in various regions of Russia. It is established that to get accurate laboratory diagnostic it is reasonable to apply the proposed algorithm of analysis in which alongside with binding immunoassay such differential criterion as positivity rate is to be implemented to speed up and simplify laboratory diagnostic of infections brought on by viruses of Western Nile fever and tick-borne encephalitis.
