Post dermoid excision nasal tip deformity correction using gelatin sponge.

Reconstruction of the nasal tip after the excision of the dermoid cyst is difficult, especially if the size of the dermoid is large. Tip reconstruction using Interdomal sutures of alar cartilages and auricular cartilage graft has been used in such cases. We share a new method to manage the nasal tip defect following excision of nasal dermoid, using an absorbable gelatin sponge.

The present study aims to examine the association between various dimensions of psychological well-being (subjective happiness, satisfaction, and meaning in life), spirituality, and demographic and socioeconomic background of university students. A total of 414 postgraduate students were selected from three different schools, viz. science, management, and social sciences/humanities of Pondicherry University (A Central University), Puducherry, India, following multistage cluster sampling method.

The microbial conversion of biodiesel derived crude glycerol to 1,3-propanediol (1,3-PDO) has attained high industrial value due to the broad range of applications as a monomer (1,3-PDO) in textile, cosmetic and polymer industries. This fine chemical through biological production addressed several limitations of the chemical process like high temperatures, pressure and expensive catalysts. In this study 1,3-propanediol production was achieved from a non-pathogenic lactic acid bacterial strain Lactobacillus brevis N1E9.
