In the current era, it is important to consider economic and ecological sustainability issues while optimally meeting the nutrient needs of poultry. The use and research of alternative feedstuffs have gained importance due to these factors. The aim of this study is to reveal the raw lupin seeds' nutrient ingredients as an alternative feedstuff and the effects of debittering methods.

Allergic rhinitis in Covid-19 patients.

Background: Coronavirus disease-2019 (Covid-19) is transmitted by respiratory droplets and causes upper respiratory tract symptoms. These features of Covid-19 are essential regarding its potential association with allergic rhinitis (AR).

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between Covid-19 and AR and the effects of Covid-19 in patients with AR.

Magnetic resonance imaging and fractal analysis findings in temporomandibular joints with disk perforation.

Objective: This study compared magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings and fractal dimension (FD) values in the temporomandibular joints (TMJs) of study patients with disk perforation vs control patients.

Study Design: Of 75 TMJs examined with MRI for characteristics of the disk and condyle, 45 were included in the study group and 30 in the control group. MRI findings and FD values were compared for significance of differences between the groups.

In vitro study on immune response modifiers as novel medical treatment options for cholesteatoma.

Objectives: To investigate cytokine profile of cholesteatoma and to collect information about important intercellular signaling pathways by establishing two different cell culture models, to block important intercellular signaling pathways in cholesteatoma by applying immune system modifier drugs to develop alternative medical therapy options for cholesteatoma.

Methods: To observe the pathogenesis of cholesteatoma and to apply the immunomodulatory drugs, cholesteatoma tissue culture models were constituted with HEKa cells and cholesteatoma keratinocytes, which were obtained from 3 patients who underwent operations for cholesteatoma. Medicines including 5-fluorourasil, imiquimod, cyclosporine, and tacrolimus were applied on both cholesteatoma keratinocytes and HEKa cells.

Could Artesunate Have a Positive Effect on the Neurological Complications Related to Infection When It Is Used in the Treatment of COVID-19?

Artesunate is a safe noncytotoxic drug with low side effects which is used in the treatment of chloroquine-resistant malaria. In addition to being an antimalarial drug, artesunate also has immunomodulatory, anticarcinogenic, and antiviral activity. There are in vivo and in vitro studies reporting that artesunate may have a positive effect on the treatment of COVID-19.
