Purpose: A great number of patients that suffer from lateral epicondylitis, commonly called tennis elbow (TE), are not successfully treated, meaning, not getting adequate therapeutic effects and the main origin of the pain not being handled appropriately. The hypothesis of the present study is that the inefficiency of the treatment of the chronic TE may often be due to underdiagnosis of posterior interosseous nerve (PIN) entrapment or and plica syndrome, as the authors believe that those pathologies can often occur simultaneously.
Methods: A prospective cross sectional study was conducted.

Background: A preoperative surgical strategy before hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma is fundamental to minimize postoperative morbidity and mortality and to reach the best oncologic outcomes. Preoperative 3D reconstruction models may help to better choose the type of procedure to perform and possibly change the initially established plan based on conventional 2D imaging.
Methods: A non-randomized multicenter prospective trial with 136 patients presenting with a resectable hepatocellular carcinoma who underwent open or minimally invasive liver resection.
Introduction: To study whether the implementation of a clinical pathway including some enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) items for pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) in a low volume centre for pancreatic surgery was safe.
Material And Methods: Patients undergoing elective PD within a clinical pathway between 1 October 2013 and 30 September 2019 were considered for the study and the outcome was compared between the first and second period of the study. The primary endpoint was the achievement of postoperative key targets of the protocol.

The Ca/calmodulin (CaM)-dependent kinase II (CaMKII) is well known for transmitting Ca-signals, which leads to a multitude of physiological responses. Its functionality is believed to involve CaMKII holoenzyme dynamics where trans-autophosphorylation of the crucial phosphorylation site, T286 occurs. Phosphorylation of this site does not occur when stimulated exclusively with the arrhythmia associated D130G mutant form of CaM in vitro.

Our findings can be useful for optical particle manipulation and high-resolution microscopy.
