Homeopathy is a system of therapeutics that treats disease with highly diluted substances based on the Law of Similars, which holds that "like cures like." Despite widespread use, homeopathy lacks a comprehensive and robust evidence base. We examined the state of homeopathic clinical research by critically assessing the overall quality of peer-reviewed, recently published, English-language, homeopathic clinical research in terms of internal, external, and model validity using standard and homeopathic-specific instruments.

RNA transcripts are potential therapeutic targets, yet bacterial transcripts have uncharacterized biodiversity. We developed an algorithm for transcript prediction called tp.py using it to predict transcripts (mRNA and other RNAs) in K12 and E2348/69 strains (Bacteria:gamma-Proteobacteria), strains Scott A and RO15 (Bacteria:Firmicute), strains SG17M and NN2 strains (Bacteria:gamma-Proteobacteria), and (Archaea:Halobacteria).

Introduction: This study examines a set of oculomotor measurements, or "oculometric" biomarkers, as potential early indicators of visual and visuomotor deficits due to retinal toxicity in asymptomatic Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) patients on long-term hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) treatment. The aim is to identify subclinical functional impairments that are otherwise undetectable by standard clinical tests and to link them to structural retinal changes.

Methods: We measured oculomotor responses in a cohort of SLE patients on chronic HCQ therapy using a previously established behavioral task and analysis technique.
