A water-soluble polysaccharide extracted from Gastrodia elata was chemically modified to generate acetylated and carboxymethylated derivatives. Thourshe conditions for the two modification methods were optimized through single factor and response surface analyses. The optimized conditions for acetylation were 3.

Most of these methods are designed to find a single feature subset. However, the optimal feature subset within a dataset is often not unique, indicating that feature selection exhibits multimodal characteristics.

In this study, three kinds of composites with different coverage were prepared by coating goethite on the surface of polyvinyl chloride microplastics to investigate the adsorption and desorption behavior of phenanthrene (PHE) and 1-hydroxyphenanthrene (1-OHPHE), and the effect of mucin on desorption was investigated. The results showed that goethite promoted the adsorption of PHE and 1-OHPHE by increasing the specific surface area of the composites.

Targeting leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) has been identified as a potential strategy for the treatment of PD. The development of LRRK2 inhibitors has attracted much interest, and various compounds have been reported with significant improvement in preclinical and clinical models.

Objective: To investigate the effect of prednisone plus either adalimumab or cyclosporine-based immunosuppression on VKH dermatological disorders using ancillary data from a VKH eye disease trial.
Methods: Patients with VKH disease treated with individualized prednisone tapering (maximum daily dose, 40 mg; maximum duration, 6 months) were randomized to adjunctive adalimumab (N=54) or cyclosporine (N=56).
