Objective: To evaluate psychometrics of wearable devices measuring physical activity (PA) in ambulant children with gait abnormalities due to neuromuscular conditions.
Data Sources: We searched PubMed, Embase, PsycINFO, CINAHL, and SPORTDiscus in March 2023.
Study Selection: We included studies if (1) participants were ambulatory children (2-19y) with gait abnormalities, (2) reliability and validity were analyzed, and (3) peer-reviewed studies in the English language and full-text were available.
Purpose: This study investigated differences in cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) and other physical literacy domains between children with a chronic medical condition (CMC) who adhered to with the physical activity guideline and those who did not.
Method: Forty children with a CMC (7-12 years) wore an accelerometer for 7 days to measure moderate-to-vigorous physical activity. CRF and muscle power were assessed with a maximal cardiopulmonary exercise test, and motor performance was measured with an exercise course.
High-precision measurement tools are needed to measure relevant changes in strength and power in children with neuromuscular diseases. The aim of this study was to determine the feasibility (i), reproducibility (ii), and validity (iii) of isokinetic dynamometry in this population. Isometric and isokinetic knee and elbow flexion and extension were measured twice on the same day.

A qualitative study using thematic analysis was performed to explore parents' concerns, experiences, and needs regarding the development and received developmental care of their child (0-10 years) during hospital admission and beyond. Data were collected using semi-structured online interviews with 20 parents of children with CCHD.
