Unlabelled: In the new era of dentistry the coronal restoration materials must possess "bio-active" features represented by fluor ions release, chemical adhesion and antibacterial agents.

Aim: Our study aims to determine the surface antibacterial properties of glassionomer cements and compomers.

Materials And Method: The study group included 64 patients with high cariogenic risk with 80 teeth with acute and chronic dental caries affecting proximal and occlusal dental surfaces.
