SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) is well known to have extrapulmonary manifestations, including acute renal failure. While radiologic findings of COVID-19 pulmonary-involvement have been described, renal findings associated with COVID-19 have not. We present a case of a 38-year-old Afro-Caribbean female diagnosed with COVID-19 whose renal ultrasound showed increased parenchymal echogenicity, decreased global color Doppler signal with elevated resistive indices, but no large vessel thrombi.

The aim was to evaluate a larger data set that provided evidence for the development of port access guidelines. A retrospective chart review of 3322 chest port placement procedures performed between October 15, 2003, and June 10, 2015, was conducted at the interventional radiology department of a single institution.

Twenty-six out of 30 initially included patients were assessable. The number of focal lesions detected in newly diagnosed patients (n = 13) and in relapsed patients (n = 13) were 296 and 234, respectively.

The crystal structure of the SecA-SecY complex shows that the intramolecular regulator of ATPase1 (IRA1) SecA domain, made up of two helices and the loop between them, is partly inserted into the SecY conducting channel, with the loop between the helices as the main functional region. A computational analysis suggested that the entire IRA1 domain is structurally autonomous, and was the basis to synthesize peptide analogs of the SecA IRA1 loop region, to the aim of investigating its conformational preferences.

Methods: We have prospectively included 34 patients with breast (N=24) or prostate cancer (N=10) at high risk of BMs. Whole-body PET/CT (low-dose CT) and bone scintigraphy (BS) with single photon emission CT were obtained for all 34 patients and the results compared with a radiological gold standard.
