This article studies the synthesis, as well as the structural, vibrational, and optical properties of Eu-doped ZnO quantum dots (QDs) and investigates the energy transfer mechanism from the ZnO host to Eu ions using Reisfeld's approximation. Eu-doped ZnO QDs at varying concentrations (0-7%) were successfully prepared using a wet chemical method. The successful doping of Eu ions into the ZnO host lattice, as well as the composition and valence states of the elements present in the sample, were confirmed through X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses.

Although an E3 ligase MDM2 is the major negative regulator of the p53 tumor suppressor, a growing body of evidence suggests its p53-independent oncogenic properties. In particular, MDM2 has been shown to regulate serine metabolism independently of p53 status in several types of neoplasia, including NSCLC. Using the GSEA approach and publicly available molecular data on NSCLC tumors, our bioinformatics data suggest that MDM2 affects a number of metabolic genes, particularly those encoding components of the electron transport chain (ETC).

Its unique stability arises from the delocalization of π-electrons, allowing it to participate in a wide range of reactions despite being a radical. The self-reaction of propargyl radicals is a fundamental step in synthesizing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

The successful doping of Sm and Eu ions into the ZnS host lattice and the composition and valence of the elements present in the sample were confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Structural and morphological studies revealed the presence of Eu-doped ZnS and Eu/Sm co-doped ZnS QDs of about 3-4 nm size with a zinc blende structure.
