Density functional theory (DFT) combined with the Viennasimulation package (VASP) was used to investigate the electronic, magnetic, and optical properties of one-dimensional stanene nanoribbons (SnNRs) and Na, Mg, and Al-adsorbed SnNRs. The SnNRs, with a width of 10 Sn atoms and hydrogen-passivated edges, retained their hexagonal honeycomb structure after structural optimization. Both pristine and adsorbed SnNRs exhibit narrow band gap semiconducting behavior, with pristine SnNRs being non-magnetic and adsorbed SnNRs showing non-zero magnetic moments.

Can Tho City Oncology Hospital was established on September 28, 2007, by the People's Committee of Can Tho City. The Can Tho City Oncology Hospital has been in operation for 17 years and has over time become a reliable place for the provision of oncological patient services and treatment for Can Tho citizens and the Mekong Delta area. The Hospital includes approximately 400 patient beds, 9 clinical departments, 5 paraclinical departments (radiology, pathology etc), and 8 functional rooms (customer care epartment, admissions, discharge office, finance and accounting division,).

Article Synopsis
  • - The study analyzes how different weather information sources influence the effects of extreme heat on hospitalized individuals in Central Vietnam, revealing that both official channels and social media can lower the economic costs associated with heat-related illnesses.
  • - Social media was highlighted as a particularly effective means for climate adaptation, emphasizing the importance of clear and accessible weather information for households of different income levels.
  • - The research suggests that demographic factors like age and gender should shape communication strategies, especially for those with pre-existing health conditions, to enhance policy efforts aimed at improving climate resilience in vulnerable communities.

Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) genotype IV (GIV) is one of the least common and most neglected genotypes worldwide, having been identified only on a few Indonesian islands until it was recently found to be the cause of outbreaks that occurred in several Australian states in early 2022. Given the limited availability of information, the vector range for JEV GIV remains unknown; thus, understanding this range could prove invaluable for future prevention efforts in new areas. Herein, we experimentally exposed four mosquito colonies originated from various countries with no previous reports of GIV to JEV GIV strain 19CxBa-83-Cv, which was isolated from Theobald collected in Bali in 2019.

This study addresses the effect of electron-phonon coupling (EPC) on the electro-optical properties of gated β-borophene. The focus is on how EPC influences the orbital hybridization of boron atoms, particularly within the Bariśic-Labbe-Friedel-Su-Schrieffer-Heeger framework, and considers the role of gate electrodes in this process. The results reveal a redshift in the optical spectrum only when there is positive feedback from one electrode on EPC.
