Objective: This study evaluates the role of frozen section (FS) in determining the extent of disease during surgery.
Materials And Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed a cohort of patients diagnosed with endometrioid-type endometrial cancer between 2019 and 2022 who underwent surgical intervention. The frozen section (FS) results were compared with the final pathology reports, focusing on tumor grade, depth of myometrial invasion, cervical involvement, and tumor diameter.
Objective: There is no study that compares the diagnostic performance of ATV and ESV techniques in detecting cleft palate. We aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of two ultrasound techniques: axial-transverse (ATV) and "equal sign" view (ESV), in detecting fetal cleft palate without cleft lip.
Patients And Methods: This prospective study was conducted from March 2019 to January 2022 in a tertiary referral hospital.
Pollution risk assessment of heavy metals (Pb, Cr, Cu, Ni, Zn, As) in sediment samples from 68 locations in the Gulf of Edremit, western Turkey, was performed using single and complex indices of pollution assessment approaches. The pollution indices used in the sediment analyses included pollution load index, contamination factor, contamination degree for individual metals, geoaccumulation index (Igeo), enrichment factors, toxic risk index, modified pollution index, frequency of adverse biological effects (TEL-PEL), percent incidence of biological effects (ERL-ERM), and total risk quotients. Results indicated a low degree of contamination for the entire surveyed area except moderate contamination factor for arsenic using single indices.

Nesfatin-1 is a multifunctional neuropeptide having crucial autonomic roles. It is well known that nesfatin-1 collaborates with other central neuromodulatory systems, such as central corticotropin-releasing hormone, melanocortin, oxytocin, and cholinergic systems to show its autonomic effects. Central arachidonic acid cascade plays an important role to provide the homeostasis by exhibiting similar autonomic effects to nesfatin-1.
