[Efficacy of amnioinfusion in anhydramnios at term before induction of labor and newborn outcome].

Oligohydramnios complicates about 0.5-5% of pregnancies and is associated with an increased rate of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Our purpose was determine the effectiveness of amnioinfusion before induction of labour in reducing the incidence of fetal distress in pregnancies with anhydramnios at term.

A rare case of amniotic disease with extensive malformations of fetus was described. A data obtained from literature was done with special consideration of etiopathology.

The paper discussed problems encountered in diagnosing an abdominal pregnancy involving fundal and left adnexal insertion of the placenta. This rare placenta localisation was associated with difficulties in differing limits of the uterus from the oocyst in ultrasound imaging.
