Introduction: medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction (MPFLr) is a common surgical procedure for treating patellar instability. Grafts can be fixed to the femur using a bone-tunnel technique with an interference screw. However, this may lead to femoral tunnel enlargement (FTE) post-operatively.

Background: The univoltine leaf beetle (Curtis, 1837b) is native to the Palaearctic Region from Japan to western Europe.This species was previously evaluated as a potential biological control agent against invasive populations of the woodland weed (Bieb.) Cavara & Grande (Brassicaceae) in North America, but rejected because it could harm native and at-risk populations of Brassicaceae.

Prevention of G-Induced Effects on Vision and Consciousness During Simulated Suborbital Spaceflight.

Introduction: During centrifuge-simulated suborbital spaceplane flights, launch and re-entry frequently cause visual symptoms, and G-induced loss of consciousness can occur. G-related effects may be more prominent during re-entry from microgravity on actual flights. A modified anti-G maneuver that does not involve a breath strain and is suitable for members of the public may be effective against these effects.

Predictors of biochemical remission after transsphenoidal surgery in a large cohort of acromegaly patients.

Purpose: The objective of this study was to characterize the clinical characteristics and factors predictive of biochemical remission in patients with symptomatic acromegaly undergoing transsphenoidal surgery (TSS) at an academic tertiary care center, as defined by the 2022 Acromegaly Consensus Conference guidelines.

Methods: In this single institution, longitudinal, retrospective study, a large cohort of 158 patients with a preoperative diagnosis of acromegaly undergoing surgery at a large, academic, tertiary care center were examined. We excluded 38 patients as IGF-1 testing was performed less than 12 weeks postoperatively.

Case: A 60-year-old man presented with a chronic right pectoralis major muscle belly tear of the lower sternal head that was missed and previously treated with tendon repair of the sternal and clavicular heads. The tear was repaired and reconstructed with an Achilles allograft. At the 1.
