- The findings suggest that identifying patients with LVI, particularly those with both types of invasion, could lead to better-targeted postoperative treatments to improve their prognosis and manage the risk of distant metastases.
Sake is a Japanese alcoholic beverage produced by fermenting steamed rice and (a culture of on steamed rice) with sake yeast, a strain of Sake yeast strains are important for maintaining product quality and process efficiency. In this study, a strain from Muramatsu Park, Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture was isolated using a loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay. The yeast strain was cultured using the mass spore-cell/cell-cell mating method with a sake yeast haploid.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe bromodomain-containing protein 4 (BRD4), which is a key epigenetic regulator in cancer, has emerged as an attractive target for the treatment of melanoma. In this study, we investigate 7-phenoxy-benzimidazole derivative 12, which is a novel BRD4 inhibitor for the treatment of melanoma, by performing scaffold hopping on the previously reported benzimidazole derivative 1. Despite their good oral and intravenous exposure, the compounds obtained by modifying derivate 1 exhibit mutagenicity, which was confirmed by the positive Ames test results.
