Article Synopsis
  • This study investigates the effectiveness of various surface treatments for fiber posts combined with different root canal irrigation techniques on the push-out bond strength (PBS) in dental procedures.
  • A total of 200 premolars were divided into groups based on the irrigation solutions used (sodium hypochlorite, EDTA, and EDTA combined with laser activation) and also categorized by the fiber post surface treatments (sandblasting, hydrofluoric acid, two types of lasers, and untreated).
  • Results indicated that PBS values improved significantly in groups using EDTA or laser treatment, highlighting the importance of both irrigation methods and surface treatments in enhancing the bond strength between fiber posts and root dentine.
