The National Lipid Association (NLA) is currently conducting a study to improve the uptake of evidence-based guidelines into clinical practice through the deployment of case-based online learning modules to participating health systems nationwide. The Translating Evidence-based Approaches into optimal Care of High-risk atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease patients (TEACH-ASCVD) will evaluate the impact of electronic learning modules on clinician practices related to ASCVD management. In the design phase of TEACH-ASCVD, expert lipidologists created a series of 7 cases informed by recent guidelines intended to provide common clinical scenarios that evaluate participant knowledge of evidence-based practices for high-risk ASCVD and familial hypercholesterolemia.

: Bilateral steno-occlusive disease of the internal carotid artery (ICA) carries an increased stroke risk with associated high morbidity and mortality. Management of these patients is often complex. In this study, we evaluate the value of non-invasive optimal vessel analysis quantitative magnetic resonance angiography (NOVA-qMRA) for studying flow and collateral patterns in patients with bilateral carotid steno-occlusive disease.

As 3D printing technology expands rapidly in medical disciplines, the accuracy evaluation of 3D-printed medical models is required. However, no established guidelines to assess the dimensional error of anatomical models exist. This study aims to evaluate the dimensional accuracy of medical models 3D-printed using a hospital-based Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printer.

Excessive inflammation in cells are a common cause of inflammation-related diseases such as cardiometabolic diseases. The cellular multiprotein complex nucleotide-binding domain and leucine-rich repeat pyrin domain 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome is a cellular key modulator of inflammatory processes. In addition to classic medications, phytochemicals are known for their anti-inflammatory potential.

Magnitude dimensions influence the processing of each other resulting in shorter reaction times in classification tasks when the magnitude information in both dimensions matches. These effects are often explained by a shared magnitude representation as proposed by A Theory of Magnitude (ATOM). Interactions between numbers and loudness indicate that loudness may also be represented as a magnitude.
