[Precipitation of neutral alpha-glucans and separation of mixtures by dimethyldodecylbenzylammonium chloride].

The solubilization of precipitated complex of alpha-polyglucane-dimethyldodecylbenzylammonium chloride in excess of a solution of the salt was found to be dependent on pH. The complexes of glycogen having a more branching structure are dissolved much more readily than the amylopectin complexes. The conditions for separation of mixtures of these two alpha-glucanes were found.
