Comparison of Endovascular Interventions for the Treatment of Superficial Femoral Artery Disease: A Network Meta-analysis.

Background: To understand the relative safety and efficacy of endovascular treatment modalities used for superficial femoral artery (SFA) disease, we performed a network meta-analysis to compare outcomes between percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA), atherectomy (A), bare metal stent (BMS), brachytherapy/radiotherapy, covered stent graft (CSG), cutting balloon angioplasty (CBA), drug-coated balloon (DCB), drug-eluting stent (DES), and intravascular lithotripsy (L).

Methods: We performed a systematic literature search of PubMed from January 2000 to January 2023 to identify randomized trials comparing endovascular interventions for the treatment of SFA disease. The primary end points were technical success and 12-month primary patency.

Background: Acute cholangitis (AC) is a potentially fatal infection of the biliary tract characterized by varying degrees of severity, with endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) serving as the primary drainage modality. Though frailty is linked to poor outcomes in general, its implications for AC patients remain unexplored.

Methods: Using the National Inpatient Sample Database 2017-2020, we identified adult AC hospitalizations, which were further stratified based on frailty.

Facile Synthesis of Carbon Dots from Green Resource and Their Application for Selective Determination of Mg.

A simple, fast and sensitive method based on the fluorescence quenching of carbon dots was developed for the determination of Mg in environmental and biological sample. Carbon dots (CDs) were synthesized from arugula seeds by hydrothermal method. The precursor is cheap, easily available and environment friendly.
