Real-Time Blood Flow Assessment Using ICG Fluorescence Imaging During Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery with Consideration of Vascular Reconstruction.

Background/objectives: Indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence imaging is widely utilized for visualizing hepatic tumors, hepatic segmentation, and biliary anatomy, improving the safety and curability of cancer surgery. However, its application for perfusion assessment in hepatobiliary and pancreatic (HBP) surgery has been less explored.

Methods: This study evaluated outcomes of patients undergoing HBP surgery with vascular reconstruction from April 2022 to August 2024.

Stabilisation of iron-oxo dimers in a natural layered clay for efficient photocatalysts comparable to TiO.

We report the stabilisation of otherwise fleeting iron(III)-oxo dimers in the interlayer space of a natural layered clay. The material shows a good photocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of formic acid in water and formaldehyde in air comparable to a benchmark TiO photocatalyst.

Successful Treatment of Hip Osteoarthritis With Radiofrequency Ablation: A Report of Two Cases.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common cause of activity limitation in adults. In two patients with chronic pain due to hip OA who had inadequate pain relief or had severe recalcitrant pain, fluoroscopy-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of the hip joint nerve branches was performed, and analgesic effects were obtained. RFA of the hip joint nerve branches is usually performed by taking into consideration the localization of the femoral nerve and the obturator nerve innervating the anterior aspect of the hip joint, and the superior gluteal nerve and sciatic nerve innervating the posterior aspect of the hip joint.

Onlay grafting with or without coronary endarterectomy maintains long-term favorable anastomotic remodeling regardless of the graft materials used.

Objective: We aimed to examine the long-term clinical outcomes, graft patency, and remodeling capacities of onlay anastomoses using 4 different grafts.

Methods: The cross-sectional areas of onlay anastomoses were measured using coronary angiography or computed tomography and compared with the estimated standard areas of normal arteries to assess changes in the onlay anastomosis area over time.
