People's moods can influence moral judgment. Such influences may arise because moods affect moral emotion, or because moods affect moral thought. The present study provides evidence that, at least in the footbridge dilemma, moods affect moral thought.

Castleman disease of the subcutis and skeletal muscle is rare. We have collected a series of 6 cases of extranodal Castleman disease, located in the subcutis and skeletal muscles of the extremities and trunk. Tumors from mediastinal and retroperitoneal soft tissue and those histologically involving peripheral or truncal lymph nodes were excluded.

This report presents a case of precursor T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (ALL) involving the uterine cervix, myometrium, endometrium, and appendix. The patient was a 38-year-old woman with a history of ALL who had been in remission for 4 years following chemotherapy. The malignant lymphoid infiltrate was characterized by blasts, showing scant cytoplasm, irregular hyperchromatic nuclei, and occasional prominent nucleoli.

Primary larynx lymphomas, specifically of the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue, are a rare but documented phenomenon. Transformation of any type of lymphoma that has the presence of Reed-Sternberg cells is unusual in lymph nodes and exceptional in extranodal sites. Herein, we report the first case (to the best of our knowledge in a review of the English literature [MEDLINE 1966-2001]) in which both of these unusual findings are present; that is, an extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of laryngeal mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue with Hodgkin-like transformation.
