Assessing water quality restoration measures in Lake Pampulha (Brazil) through remote sensing imagery.

Urban reservoirs are frequently exposed to impacts from high population density, polluting activities, and the absence of environmental control measures and monitoring. In this study, we investigated the use of satellite imagery to assess restoration measures and support decision-making in a hypereutrophic urban reservoir. Since 2016, Lake Pampulha (Brazil) has undergone restoration measures, including the application of Phoslock®, to mitigate its poor water quality conditions.

Optimizing the Construction and Activation of 3D-Printed Electrochemical Sensors: An Experimental Design Approach for Simultaneous Electroanalysis of Paracetamol and Caffeine.

This work presents an optimization of the construction, treatment, and activation of 3D-printed electrochemical sensors (E-3D). For this, was used a 2-full factorial design examining three key variables at two levels: electrode height, electrode diameter, and printing speed. Moreover, it evaluates various physical, chemical, and electrochemical methods to treat and activate the E-3D surface.

The Endolift® technique, introduced in 2005, gained popularity among medical and non-medical professionals as a non-surgical approach using subdermal laser devices. However, its widespread adoption lacked a thorough understanding of its physiological interaction, resulting in controversies over its effectiveness and safety. This study aimed to assess the evidence of Endolift® efficacy, parametrization, and safety by analyzing adverse events.
