Temporal interference stimulation (TIS) is a new form of transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) that has been proposed as a method for targeted, noninvasive stimulation of deep brain structures. While TIS holds promise for a variety of clinical and nonclinical applications, little data is yet available regarding its effects in humans and its mechanisms of action. To inform the design and safe conduct of experiments involving TIS, researchers require quantitative guidance regarding safe exposure limits and other safety considerations.

Kainate receptors (KARs) are a subtype of ionotropic glutamate receptor (iGluR) channels, a superfamily of ligand-gated ion channels which mediate the majority of excitatory neurotransmission in the central nervous system. KARs modulate neuronal circuits and plasticity during development and are implicated in neurological disorders, including epilepsy, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, and autism. Calcium-permeable KARs undergo ion channel block, but the therapeutic potential of channel blockers remains underdeveloped, mainly due to limited structural knowledge.

Relative to other types of traumatic experiences, a lifetime history of sexual violence (SV) has been linked with more persistent and severe mental health outcomes, but the reasons for this discrepancy have not been clearly established. Stress sensitization, or the amplification of responses to daily stressors as a function of trauma history, offers one possible explanation. Using ecological momentary assessment, the current study tested stress sensitization effects in daily life for individuals with a history of SV, focusing on emotion regulation as an outcome.

Background: Technologies, including mobile health applications (apps) and wearables, offer new potential for gathering patient-generated health data (PGHD) from patients; however, little is known about patient preferences for and willingness to collect and share PGHD with their providers and healthcare systems.

Objective: Describe how patients use their PGHD and factors important to patients when deciding whether to share PGHD with a healthcare system.

Design: Cross-sectional mailed longitudinal survey supplemented with administrative data within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).

The self-assembly of Janus-type amphiphilic hybrid block copolymers composed of hydrophilic/hydrophobic layers has shown promise for drug encapsulation and delivery. Saccharides have previously been incorporated to improve the biocompatibility of self-assembled structures; however, glycopolymer block copolymers have been less explored, and their structure-property relationships are not well understood. In this study, novel glycopolymer-branched poly(lactic acid) (PLA) block copolymers were synthesized via thiol-ene coupling and their composition-dependent morphologies were elucidated.
