We study the transport properties of mm-scale CVD graphene p-n junctions, which are formed in a single gated graphene field effect transistor configuration. Here, an electrical-stressing-voltage technique served to modify the electrostatic potential in the SiO/Si substrate and create the p-n junction. We examine the transport characteristics about the Dirac points that are localized in the perturbed and unperturbed regions in the graphene channel and note the quantitative differences in the Hall effect between the perturbed and unperturbed regions.

Background: Implicit magnitudes and distribution of excessive contact pressures under hand orthoses hinder clinicians from precisely adjusting them to relieve the pressures. To address this, contact pressure under a hand orthosis were analysed using finite element method.

Methods: This paper proposed a method to numerically predict the relatively high magnitudes and critical distribution of contact pressures under hand orthosis through finite element analysis, to identify excessive contact pressure locations.

The identification of sources driving cosmic reionization, a major phase transition from neutral hydrogen to ionized plasma around 600-800 Myr after the Big Bang, has been a matter of debate. Some models suggest that high ionizing emissivity and escape fractions (f) from quasars support their role in driving cosmic reionization. Others propose that the high f values from bright galaxies generate sufficient ionizing radiation to drive this process.

Here we present a sample of 12 massive quiescent galaxy candidates at [Formula: see text] observed with the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Near Infrared Spectrograph (NIRSpec). These galaxies were pre-selected from the Hubble Space Telescope imaging and 10 of our sources were unable to be spectroscopically confirmed by ground based spectroscopy. By combining spectroscopic data from NIRSpec with multi-wavelength imaging data from the JWST Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam), we analyse their stellar populations and their formation histories.
