Plant-based mince texture: A review of the sensory literature with view to informing new product development.

The texture of plant-based meat alternatives is a sensory attribute that holds a central value in consumer acceptability. The texture dimensions and drivers of liking for plant-based mince, a popular product within plant-based meats, are not yet fully established and literature in this area is limited. Consequently, the successful development and positioning of such products in the market next to traditional proteins is compromised, and improved product development guidelines are needed for the industry.

Quantum transport of high-dimensional spatial information with a nonlinear detector.

Information exchange between two distant parties, where information is shared without physically transporting it, is a crucial resource in future quantum networks. Doing so with high-dimensional states offers the promise of higher information capacity and improved resilience to noise, but progress to date has been limited. Here we demonstrate how a nonlinear parametric process allows for arbitrary high-dimensional state projections in the spatial degree of freedom, where a strong coherent field enhances the probability of the process.

Design and Evaluation of an Interprofessional Preceptor Development Mini-Fellowship Program.

Introduction: Health professions preceptors require skills and knowledge to effectively meet the educational needs of interprofessional students in clinical environments. We implemented a mini-fellowship program to enhance the knowledge, skills, and self-efficacy of preceptors teaching students and applying quality improvement (QI) methods across disciplines and patient care settings.

Methods: The design, implementation, and evaluation of the program were informed by the faculty development literature, principles of adult learning, and preceptor needs.

Automated three-dimensional activation versus conventional mapping for catheter ablation of atrial tachycardia - A prospective randomized trial.

Background: The automated NavX Ensite Precision latency-map (LM) algorithm aims to identify atrial tachycardia (AT) mechanisms. However, data on a direct comparison of this algorithm with conventional mapping are scarce.

Methods: Patients scheduled for AT ablation were randomized to mapping with the LM- algorithm (LM group) or to conventional mapping (conventional only group: ConvO), using entrainment and local activation mapping techniques.

Prevalence of STIs and people's satisfaction in a general population STI testing site in Bern, Switzerland.

Objectives: Access to affordable STI testing for asymptomatic persons is important to reduce STI transmission. Our testing site offers easily accessible and affordable STI testing for the general population irrespective of symptoms. Here we report STI prevalence and motivational factors of attendance.
