Introduction: Bisphenol A (BPA) is a common contaminant widely used in many industrial sectors. Because of its wide use and dispersion, it can be accumulated in living human bodies through both oral assumption and nondietary routes. BPA exhibits hormone-like properties, falling under the class of endocrine disruptors; therefore, it can alter relevant physiological functions.

Purpose: In high-acuity situations such as cardiac arrest, clinicians rely on prepared medications stocked in code carts to provide timely and accurate pharmacotherapy. We examined shortage trends for medications commonly used in code carts.

Methods: Drug shortage data from 2001 to 2022 were retrieved from the University of Utah Drug Information Service (UUDIS) to characterize shortages reported for commonly used code cart medications.

Racial and ethnic minority patients are consistently under-represented in the proportion of patients who undergo allo-HSCT in the US.

Behavioral Modifications in Children after Repeated Sedation with Nitrous Oxide for Dental Treatment: A Retrospective Study.

Sedation with nitrous oxide (NO) has been widely used as a viable alternative to general anesthesia to perform dental treatments in uncooperative or anxious children. The purpose of this retrospective study is to assess if repeated sedations with NO can improve collaboration of uncooperative children. The medical records of 650 children, aged between 3 and 14 years, who underwent at least two sedations, were consulted.
