Superficial siderosis (SS) is a rare condition resulting from different sources of bleeding into the subpial space. The most common symptoms are: hypoacusia, ataxia, incontinence, dementia and parkinsonism. Since several neurodegenerative disorders may present with same clinical features, SS is often misdiagnosed.
