[Investigative findings on the reconstruction with tissue materials after partial laryngectomy].

Between 1987 and 1999--1289 patients were treated by surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology and Laryngologic Oncology PAM in Szczecin due to the cancer of the larynx. In this group total, eventual subtotal excision of the larynx was carried out in 801 cases. In 154 cases the phonation way was restored.

[Issues in total reconstruction of the auricle in microtia].

The author's personal experience with 83 cases of auricular construction is presented, as well as methods that have evolved through the last 3 decades. The details of reconstructive procedure are discussed. Advisability of external ear reconstruction in unilateral microtia is evaluated.

[External approach in cosmetic surgery of the nose].

The author described the external access technique in nasal cosmetic surgery. The advantages and inconveniences were discussed. Above 150 surgeries were performed.

[Musculo-cutaneous flaps in the reconstruction of the organs after oncological operations in the head and neck areas].

A method of skin-muscular flaps construction is being discussed together with their use for the reconstruction of the organs after oncological surgery of the head and neck. Own experience with the use of such flaps in 83 cases are also discussed.

[Skin neoplasms of the face--diagnosis and possibilities of surgical treatment].

Experiences are presented based on the observation and treatment by surgical methods of 360 patients with facial cutaneous carcinoma in a period of 16 years. The group comprised 57% men and 43% women. Over half the patients had the lesions situated on the nose.
