[The role of a nutritional factor in the development of obstetric and perinatal pathology in obese women].

The review presents the literature data on the effect of the nutrition of women on the course of pregnancy and the condition of a fetus. The mother's body during pregnancy is the only source of nutrients for a developing fetus. The woman's nutrition before and during pregnancy affects not only her own health and the development of a fetus, but can also results in the risk of non-infectious diseases and obesity among their children throughout their lives.
