Continuous intravenous infusions, catheterization, open-heart surgery, tracheal injuries, artificial heart valves can serve as predisposing factors. Aspergillus endocarditis is more common in severe infectious diseases after a prolonged use of antibiotics, cytostatics, glucocorticoids.
