Continued innovation in contract design may enhance the delivery of agri-environmental climate public goods (AECPG), but barriers to adoption arise in terms of how farmers perceive the economic benefits. Therefore, this paper examines survey data from Ireland and the Netherlands to analyse whether land managers agree that results-based, collective action, value chain and land tenure contracts for the delivery of AECPG are understandable, applicable to their farm and economically beneficial. Using Probit models, we also identify groups of land managers who perceive the different contract types as being economically beneficial, and these findings can inform policymakers of farmer groups who need adequate consideration during the design of agri-environmental contracts.

Background: The long-terms outcomes of out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) survivors are not well known.

Methods: Using the Myocardial Ischaemia National Audit Project (MINAP) registry, linked to Office for National Statistics (ONS) mortality data, we analysed 661 326 England, Wales and Northern-Ireland AMI patients; 14 127 (2%) suffered OHCA and survived beyond thirty-days of hospitalisation. Patients dying within thirty-days of admission were excluded.

Feeding the world's population while minimising the contribution of agriculture to climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing modern society. This challenge is particularly pronounced for dairy production where the carbon footprint of products and the mitigation costs are high, relative to other food stuffs. This paper reviews a number of mitigation measures that may be adopted by dairy farmers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from their farms.
