Background: Physical performance capacity (PPC) of pediatric heart transplant (HT) recipients is reportedly low to normal, and longitudinal follow-up of these patients is recommended. However, no recommendation for a follow-up method is available. A 7-year-old girl with unoperated truncus arteriosus arrived in Finland as a refugee. In contrast to our previous practices, hemodynamic assessment was made using cardiovascular magnetic resonance instead of cardiac catheterization. However, an absence of automatic and transparent measurement methods to estimate the workability of concrete hinders the adaptation from laborious traditional methods such as the slump test.
