[Epidemiological aspects of gastroesophageal reflux disease in children in the conditions of large industrial city].

Introduction: Epidemiology of gastroesophageal reflux disease in childhood is insufficiently studied.

Aim: To evaluate the frequency of typical GERD symptoms in older children and adolescents in Minsk, and to determine of reflux-esophagitis (RE) on results of endoscopic investigation.

Materials And Methods: 1576 children and adolescents 12-18 years old were interviewed.

[Nutrients of natural origin for prevention and treatment of radiation disease in experiment].

The preventive and medical effect of some nutrients of plant origin suggested as food supplement was studied in mice subjected to acute irradiation. The evidence of increased radioresistance was revealed.
